Rev. Felica Raines Thompson

Director of Women's Ministries

Rev. Felica R. Thompson, formerly Felica D. Raines, is the youngest of three children; she has both an older sister and brother. She was born in Washington, DC to the former, Shirley M. Lassiter and Franklin D. Raines. She is the devoted wife of the Rev. Brian R. Thompson, Sr. and the proud mother of Alexis and Brian II.

At the age of 22, she rededicated her life to Christ and has been "ON FIRE" for God ever since. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Not long after receiving her degree, she became a Business Education Teacher and Varsity Cheerleading Coach in the Wake County Public School System.

Rev. Thompson devotes herself to raising her children and includes time to mentor other women in ministry, ministers' wives and young mothers according to Titus 2:4 and 5. Yet, she is often found preaching and teaching the word of God without compromise, while motivating and inspiring with Biblical wisdom, spiritual insight and humor; addressing issues related to motherhood, womanhood and marriage. She is an energetic preacher of the Gospel, yet she always has a listening ear or a helping hand for not only the flock of Simon Temple, but also anyone in need.

Women of Excellence Women's Ministry

Her passion is Women's Ministry and her focus is to empower and encourage women to reach their full potential in God. She has attended numerous seminars and conferences, which have aided in her personal walk with Christ, not to mention her own spiritual growth. As Director of the Women's Ministries at Simon Temple she successfully oversees nine ministries, including the following: Women of Excellence, Daughters of Excellence, Ministers' Wives Fellowship, Mommy & Me, Women's Wellness, Spouses of the Deployed, Single Parents, Sewing Sistas, and V.A.L.O.R.S. She is committed to utilizing her gifts to push her sisters in Christ to the next dimension in God.

First Lady's Roundtable Radio

Rev. Thompson also hosts the First Lady's Roundtable Radio Show on Thursdays 12 noon - 1pm on WAKE-UP, WIDU AM 1600, where First Ladies come together to discuss issues faced by First Ladies, as they stand with their husbands in ministry.
