The Energizers: will have open enrollment for boys and girls ages 7-12, August 19th-September 30th. Please sign up in the church office.
*If you would like to purchase a Life Members Stole; Red, Purple, or Heart for Missions Pin, the stoling will take place during Annual Conference in November at Simon Temple. You will be stoled by our Missionary Supervisor, Mrs. Shelia W. Monroe. Order forms are available in the vestibule and in the church office. Let us represent Simon Temple and the Fayetteville District at this conference. Your support is needed and greatly appreciated.
**We are looking for persons to serve in the new “Simon Temple Café” where breakfast will be served every Sunday. The Official Grand Opening is planned for the 1st Sunday in September. Training will be provided for those who desire to serve. Please see Bro. Willie Meeks or Bro. Rodney Price for more information.
Aug 28—The Book Club will meet in Conference Room A at 6:30 pm. The book of discussion: “The Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit” by Lester Sumrall.
Aug 28—Men’s Empowerment will be held in Kingdom Plaza at 6:30 pm. Come and receive powerful insight from the book, “Six Battles Every Man Must Win” by Bill Perkins. All men are encouraged to attend this awesome fellowship experience!
Aug 29-30—Simon Temple will host service in the New Sanctuary each evening at 7:00 for a 2-night event entitled, “Spiritual Shift: Moving Into New Spiritual Dimensions.” Come out and join us for this mighty move of God. See you there!!!
Sep 1 & Sep 9—First Lady Thompson has 2 upcoming preaching engagements. She will be the keynote speaker for the Women’s Conference on September 1st at 10:00 am at Pineville AME Zion Church in Rock Hill, SC; and she will be preaching at the 11:00 am Worship Service at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Maxton, NC. A bus will be leaving from the Simon Temple Church parking lot at 7:00 am on September 1st and at 9:30 am on September 9th. Sign up via the “Registration” tab at simontemple.securegive.com. Let’s show our support for our First Lady!
Sep 6 & 7—Rev. Felica R. Thompson will be the guest speaker for a prayer breakfast at The Embassy Suites in Winston Salem at 11:00 am on September 6th. A bus will be leaving the Simon Temple parking lot at 8:00 am. Tickets are $25.00 but a limited number of tickets have been designated for Simon Temple members for $10.00. Pastor Thompson will be the evening speaker at the same venue on September 7th at 7:00 pm. A bus will be leaving Simon Temple at 4:00 pm. Tickets are not required for this event. Please register for both buses online or on kiosks.
