If you signed up to receive your 2019 contribution statement, you may stop by the church office and pick it up.

 

If you were baptized between 2011-2019, please come by the church office today and pick up your baptism certificate.

 

The MasterLife Christian Discipleship Program will begin on March 5, 2020 with the option of attending one of two sessions weekly. Please sign up in the church officewhere you may also obtain a description of the six-month program. POC is Dr. L. Newton

 

The House of Refuge Prayer and Spiritual Guidance Center:  Call (855) 979-9804 between the hours of 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, if you find yourself in need of prayer.  Please limit calls to less than 5 minutes so we can assist those inside and outside the church.

Feb 16—”Souls To the Polls” at Smith Rec. Ctr. • 1:30-5:00pm • Food, Music & Fun.  Transportation van is available today to and from the poll from the church parking lot at 2:00 pm and at 3:30 pm.  POC: Sis. G. McLean – (910) 286-9530

Mar 3—PRIMARY ELECTION DAY.

 

Feb 16—New Members Classes will now be held on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays in the New Fellowship Hall at 1:30 pm and will no longer be held on Mondays.  All new members who have not taken your new members classes please prepare to do so soon. Part 2 – February 16th, Part 3 – February 23rd.  Contact Sis. Feb 19—Which Fork Do I Use:  Etiquette 101.  This Daughters of Excellence Empowerment Session will be held in the Youth Empowerment Center at 6:45 pm.  Young ladies ages 7-18 are welcome.  POC:  Dr. V. Alford.

 

Feb 23—The WOE (Women of Excellence) Ministry is asking all ladies to wear red next Sunday, February 23 for Heart Health Awareness Month.

 

Feb 23—February is African-American Heritage Month:  please join the Sunday School Department as we acknowledge and commemorate the opportunity to honor accomplishments of Black Americans. Mrs. Katherine Marable, retired Cumberland County School Teacher, will be our guest presenter on 4th Sunday at 10:00 am during the Sunday School hour. Please join us! POC: Kathy Northe

 

Feb 27—Please come join us for our Grand Parents support group meeting. Topic:  “What God says about grandparents?”  Bring in a pack of cookies that describes your personality. You have one minute to discuss it with the group.  Light refreshments and prizes for everyone. Looking to see you there!

 

Feb 29—Women’s Empowerment will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at 10:00 am.  Our current study is centered in Beth Moore’s, “Breaking Free” – Discover God’s absolute freedom and “Break the Bondages of Mediocrity.  POCs:  Rev. Jennifer Blair & Rev. Paula Young

 

Aug 22—The Reverend Brian R. Thompson, Sr. Charity Golf Classic will be held Saturday, August 22 at Carolina Lakes Golf Club. This is our 20th Anniversary.Your support and participation is greatly appreciated.

 

Aug 28-30—The WOE Women’s Retreat will be held August 28th – 30th at the Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgeway, NC.  This year’s Theme:  “Hidden Figures.”  Registration will begin on Friday, February 7th and will be $100.00 without transportation and $150.00 with transportation.
