Jan 14 & 28—New Members Class will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm.  Part 2 – Jan 14th, and Part 3 – Jan 28th.  Please contact Sis. Jan 15—Please join the Fayetteville District Christian Education Department and the Cumberland County Child Advocacy Program for a one-hour presentation entitled, “Prevent Now!!”  This event is for all persons who interact with children and will be held in the New Fellowship Hall from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served. POC:  Sis. Jan 16—The Widows’/Widowers’ Ministry will meet in Conference Room B at 6:00 pm.  We will begin our book reading series with the book, “Becoming,” by former First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Michelle Obama. POC:  Rev. Helen A. Haynes – (301) 775-8647

 

Jan 19—The Simon Temple Leaders’ Retreat will take place on Saturday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

 

Jan 21—The Fayetteville Cumberland County Ministerial Council invites you to the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast.  This event will take place at the Crown Exposition Center at 8:00 am with keynote speaker, Joseph High delivering the message. We have a limited number of advance tickets for $20.00.

 

Jan 24-25—Convocation for the Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District will be held at Simon Temple.

 

Jan 26—The Women of Excellence need volunteers to help with Street Cleanup on Saturday, January 26th. Join me in the church parking lot at 6:45 am; cleanup will begin promptly at 7:00 am. The Daughters of Excellence are invited to join us for this cleanup event. Jan 31—The G.a.P. Ministry (Grandparents as Parents) meeting will be held in the Old Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm. All grandparents who play a significant role in the lives of their grandchildren are encouraged to attend this meeting.  We want to share our experiences with one another so that our grandchildren can benefit from what we learn.  POC: Rev. Jan 31—The Simon Temple Praise and Worship Team will conduct auditionsin the New Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm.  The requirements for all persons who desire to audition are as follows.  You must be saved, skilled, anointed, mature yet energetic, teachable, experienced, Kingdom-minded, reliable and faithful. If this describes you, we’ll see you on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
