Simon Temple Softball Team: All men and women interested in playing softball on the church’s co-ed softball team, please sign up in the church office.

 

Sanitize for Sunday: Due to the current situation regarding the coronavirus, we will be sanitizing the church every Saturday in preparation for the Sunday services.  We need as many persons who are able to assist us with this project, so

please sign up in the church office.

 

Anyone wanting to purchase a Life Member’s stole, applications are in the church office. If you have a “RED” stole, I challenge you to purchase the “PURPLE” stole.

Have you worked out with the Temple Fitness Group yet?  If not, what are you waiting for?  Come out to the New Fellowship Hall each Saturday at 8:00 amand let Bro. Jonathan Foster help you reach your fitness goals.

 

Mar 15—All Class Leaders can pick up their list of members in the church office beginning today. The Pre-Quarter will be in the New Fellowship on March 26th at 5:45 pm so all need to be turned in prior to this time.  All class leaders should be in attendance unless you have otherwise notified Bro. Ronnie Vandyke.

 

Mar 15—New Members Classes:  will now be held on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays in the New Fellowship Hall at 1:30 pm and will no longer be held on Mondays. Mar 18—Children’s Choir practice will be held on Wednesday in the New Sanctuary at 6:00 pm. POC: Sis. Angela Riddick – (910) 583-7544

 

Mar 24—The Men’s Empowerment session entitled, “Down Pour,” will be held in the rear section of the Empowerment Center on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30 pm.  We as believers have all had dry periods in our lives. Hosea speaks to us about God’s response to this, as He promises He will come to us like the rain.  All men are encouraged to attend this awesome fellowship and to invite a brother to join us!

 

Mar 28—Operation Inasmuch Blitz Day is a day of community service outside the church walls. Service projects will be conducted in the community to share the love of Jesus with others. We would like for members of all ages to participate. To be a success, we are in need of members with special skills in construction and maintenance trades. If you are interested, please sign up at the church office.

 

Mar 28—The Women of Excellence will be hosting the Darkness to Light Steward of Children training that is designed to help us understand how to help protect our youth from sexual abuse. If you had the training in 2017 or before or have never had the training, sign up will be after both services beginning March 15th. There are only 30 seats available. Sign up or contact POC: Sis. Mar 29—The 11:00 am worship service will start at 10:45 am on 5th Sunday because the Children’s Easter Program will be included in the 11:00 am service.

 

Mar 29—Fayetteville District Male Chorus Singing Union will be held at Simon Temple at 4:00 pm.  Each Male Chorus on the District is asked to participate.

 

Apr 4—The Greeters Ministry will meet at 9:00 am. Members who are interested in becoming a part of this ministry are invited to attend this meeting. POC: Sis. Ann Alston – (910) 689-8389

 

Apr 4—The “As One Prayer Walk” is an annual event that enables people of various religious denominations and backgrounds to unite in prayer as one massive body and proclaim the greatness of our God. The walk starts at Festival Park at 10:00am. To volunteer or purchase shirts log on to: www.asoneprayerwalk.org

 

April 6—Quarterly Conference for the 2nd quarter will be held in the New Sanctuary at 6:30 pm.  All trustees, ministers, stewards, class leaders, deaconesses & heads of all boards and clubs are expected to be in attendance.  If you are unable to attend, please inform your ministry leader so you can be accounted for.  Make sure all reports are turned in before the pre-quarter on March 25th.

 

Aug 22—The Rev. Brian R. Thompson, Sr. Charity Golf Classic is celebrating its 20th year.  Our goal is to raise $20,000.  Please help us Commemorate this awesome event with your participation and/or donation. No donation is too small. POC:  Bro. Gene Freeman.

 

Aug 28-30—The WOE Women’s Retreat will be held August 28th – 30th at the Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgeway, NC. This year’s Theme:  “Hidden Figures.”  Registration is underway and will be $100.00 without transportation and $150.00 with transportation.  POC: Sis. Brechelle Pinkett
