The House of Refuge Prayer and Spiritual Guidance Center:  Call (855) 979-9804 between the hours of 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, if you find yourself in need of prayer.  Please limit calls to less than 5 minutes so we can assist those inside and outside the church.

 

The Temple Fitness Class will be held every Saturday morning from 8:00 – 9:00 led by Bro. Jonathan Foster.  Get your ‘temple’ in shape at “The Temple!”

 

Nov 17—Baptism will be held today in the New Fellowship Hall following the 11:00 Worship Service.

 

Nov 18—New Members Class Part 3 will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm.

 

Nov 19—The First Responders next quarterly meeting will be in the New Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm. Newcomers are welcome.  No medical background is necessary.  Training will be provided.

 

Nov 20—Ministers meeting will be held in the Old Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm.

 

Nov 20—Simon Temple Lay Council will meet in Conference Room B at 5:45 pm.  Election of Officers will occur at this meeting.  All offices are open to Lay Council members.  POC: Sister Affie Sawyer.  Congratulations to our new Life Members of the Connectional Lay Council: Sis. Linda L. Miller & Sis. Sharon Morrisey!!

 

Nov 20—The Children’s Choir will rehearse in the New Sanctuary at 6:00pm.

 

Nov 20—Photo Ministry meeting will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm.  Open to staff & anyone interested.  POC: Bro. Ronald Bogan – (910) 551-1197

 

Nov 21—Leaders meeting for all members in leadership positions will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at 7:00 pm.

 

Nov 23—Simon Temple will conduct its annual Thanksgiving Outreach Ministry on November 23rd, from 10am-2pm. The locations will be at the corner of Bragg Boulevard & Johnson Street, the parking lot of Mattock Memorial AmE Zion Church and in the empty lot next to Colvin Funeral Home on Murchison Road.  This ministry will entail praying, preaching, drive-thru prayer, leading souls to Christ, food and clothing giveaways, and random acts of kindness. Nov 23—The Fayetteville District Farmers Market will be held at Mt. Hebrew.  This is the last market until April 2020.  Bring your cakes, pies, veggies and other hand made items to sell. Table rental is $10.00. Bring neighbors, friends and get some items for Thanksgiving. This is sponsored by our District Lay Council.

 

Dec 8—Pastor will be preaching at Greater Chrysolite AME Zion Church in the Lumberton District at 4:00 pm.  The address is 1307 Meadow Road in Lumberton.  We need the congregation, ushers and choir to go in support of our Pastor.

 

Dec 9—The Fayetteville District Organization meeting will be held at Hood Memorial at 6:30 pm.

 

Christmas is a season of showing love, thankfulness, and giving. As a Simon Temple Family, let’s show our love and bless the children in our community through your donation of clothing, coats, gloves, and toys. You may begin bringing your donations on the 3rd Sunday. A gift container will be located in the foyer of the new sanctuary and in the hallway outside the office door in the old sanctuary.
