Attention All Women:  There will be a Women’s Choir for Women’s Day open to all women.  The remaining practices will take place on Tuesday, September 17th; and Thursday, September 19th.  Women’s Day will be observed on September 22nd at both the 8:30 am and 11:00 am services.


In commemoration of the 146th anniversary of our church, we are asking all adult members to sow a seed of $146.  All proceeds from this contribution will go toward liquidating the mortgage.


Attention Parents and Youth:  Youth Sunday will be every 2nd and 3rd Sunday at 11:00 am. We look forward to seeing all youth there.


If you are interested in adding your voice to our dynamic music ministry by becoming a part of one of our choirs or praise teams, this is Music Ministry recruitment month.  See one of the designated persons in the lobby to sign up.  POC:  Bro. Winslow Ratliff, Jr. – (910) 280-5798


The Temple Fitness Class will be held every Saturday morning from 8:00 – 9:00 led by Bro. Jonathan Foster.  Get your ‘temple’ in shape at “The Temple!”


Simon Temple YYA:  is excited to announce the kick off for our monthly college/young adult service Friday night live! Every 4th Friday, praise passion, and food starting at 7:00 pm.


Sep 15—Pastor will be preaching at Little Zion AME Zion Church located at 120 Zion Lane in Sneads Ferry, NC.  The bus will be leaving at 2:15 pm this afternoon.  Everyone who reserved a seat on the bus please be prepared to board by 2:00.


Sep 16—New Members Class Part 3 will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm.


Sep 16—Attention College students you don’t want to miss the Conversation – College Edition every Monday at 6:30pm in the YYA center.  Refreshments served.


Sep 16—Simon Temple YYA is excited to announce the return of the conversation! Young Adult ages 21-40 Bible study will be every Monday starting September 16, 2019 7:30pm refreshments served.


Sep 18—The Leader of Leaders meeting will be held in the Old Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm.  All class leaders are expected to be in attendance.  Please contact Bro. Ronnie Vandyke at (910) 578-9711 if you will be unable to attend.


Sep 18—Children’s Choir will have practice at 6:00pm in the main sanctuary.


Sep 22—Women’s Day at Simon Temple will be on 4th Sunday. First Lady, Rev. Felica Thompson, will deliver the message at the 8:30 service.  Rev. Dr. Evalina Huggins, the Presiding Elder of the Baltimore District, will deliver the message for the 11:00 service. The theme is: “Stepping into the Greatest Season of Our Lives.”  All women are asked to wear shades of green and pearls.


Sep 25—The Lay Council will meet in Conference Room A at 5:45 pm.  All attendees please be present and on time.  POC:  Sis. Queen Degraphenried


Sep 26—Grandparents as Parents will meet in Conference Room B at 6:30 pm.

Sep 26—James 5:16 states, “…the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much.” Come out for Drive-Thru Prayer at the church from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.


Sep 28—September is Adopt-a-Street Clean-up Month.  Yadkin Road is the street adopted by the Women of Excellence.  We are asking for volunteers to help clean our street.  We will be meeting at 7:30 am in the church parking lot. Sep 28—Women’s Empowerment will be “Breaking Free” with a Dutch dinner meeting at Fuller’s Old Fashioned BBQ located at 7735 Raeford Road at 5:30 pm.  Please plan to attend by signing up in the church office by September 21st. POCs:  Rev. Paula Young & Rev. Jennifer Blair


Sep 29—Fayetteville District Male Chorus Singing Union will be held at Simon Temple at 4:00 pm. Each Male Chorus on the District is asked to participate.
